Interwoven is my latest album (released October 14th, 2022).

Both the name of the title track and the name of the album, Interwoven, very naturally came to be the word that encompassed this collection of music for me. The composition itself is a gentle, winding path with hills and valleys, with sunshine and rain. It conveys beauty, struggle, longing, strength, and equanimity. The main version (track #1), features cello and piano, with an alternate version heard later, arranged for solo piano.

In addition, the album features a collection of intimate solo piano performances, recorded on my new acoustic upright. Cello is shaken in here and there, like a good spice, with the expressive performances of Dutch cellist Ardie Son. The album draws from influences like Max Richter, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Chilly Gonzales and Joep Beving.
