"Shifting Sands" is my latest album (released November 9th, 2023).

The album features deep, introspective piano and synth pieces, with my felted acoustic piano playing a central role to the album’s full, warm sound. The music is inspired conceptually by a lifelong fascination with outer space and sonically by composers like Max Richter, Thomas Newman, and Nils Frahm.

With the album order, I tried to strike a balance between the acoustic and the electronic, between the minimal and the richly layered. The soft, intimate moments of some pieces only help to heighten the impact of the steady gradual builds of others.

I hope this music leaves you with a sense of wonder and curiosity about the vast expanse that is our universe. The world we know is a big and complicated place, and yet we're just a tiny point in space, on a planet circling around a star – and one of billions and billions of others at that!
