about
This track - Interwoven (Solo Piano) - is the final single leading up to my album release. Interwoven, both the name of this single and the name of the album, naturally came to be in the title track position. It's a gentle, winding path with hills and valleys, with sunshine and rain. It conveys beauty, struggle, longing, strength, and equanimity.
The full album will be released on October 14th, 2022. On it, this track is heard in an new light, in an arrangement for cello and piano.
In addition, the album features a collection of intimate solo piano performances, recorded on my new acoustic upright. Cello is shaken in here and there, like a good spice, with the expressive performances of Dutch cellist Ardie Son. The album draws from influences like Max Richter, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Chilly Gonzales and Joep Beving.
